Fundamental Aspects of Drug Release from Ill. Remarks on Regulation of Polymeric Materials

In consideration of the quantitative description of the factors influencing drug release from polymeric devices we must consider the problem of biocompatibility of devices implanted in the body. In this communication we show how this important problem can be described in terms of transport phenomena in polymers.
