ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT The status to date is presented of a set of coupled mathematical modules for the hydrodynamics, transport and chemical/ biological processes determining the nutrient cycles in the North Sea. The ongoing development of this framework is part of concrete projects in the field of policy assessment, as well as part of strategic instrumentation within a five year research program in the Netherlands called MANS (Management Analysis North Sea).
