ABSTRACT
Measurements of stage, discharge and water quality in streams and rivers have basical importance in a number of planning purposes. Today, monitoring of land based transport of nitrogen (N), phosphorous (P) and organics (0) to lakes and sea is based on continous recordings of stage, discrete measurements of discharge and water quality sampling (NPO).
