ABSTRACT

A uniform and non-uniform mesh, both with 15x15 biquadratic elements, are used, as illustrated on figure (4). Numerical solutions after one complete rotation (200 time steps: ~t=27t/200), using a Crank-Nicholson scheme, are presented on figures (5) and (6). Table (1) presents some comparisons with results obtained in [24,25] where the same problem has been considered in Taylor-Galerkin method context (TG2 and TG3 denote the Taylor-Galerkin method with a second and third time derivatives. TG2MD represents the TG2 scheme with diagonal mass matrix).
