The conclusions and recommendations presented in this chapter are related to work on innovative barriers carried out in the research project HOSANNA.1-4 Each section of this chapter refers to a specic family of ground transportation infrastructure: urban streets (Section 2.2), tramways (Section 2.3), motorways (Section 2.4), and railways (Section 2.5).
