ABSTRACT

Elements o f the relational matrix are degrees o f memberships juR(x, y), or possibilities, or degrees o f belonging o f a specific pair (x, y) to the given relation R, e.g., the pair (3, 1) belongs wi th a degree 0 to the relation x is smaller than y, or the possibility that 3 < 1 is 0. The relation above is a typical example o f a crisp relation. The condition involved in this relation is a precise one and one which is either fulfilled or not fulfilled.
