Equilibrium Distributions for Level-Dependent Quasi-Birth-and-Death Processes

The level-dependent Quasi-Birth-and-Death process (LDQBD) is an extension of the classical Quasi-Birth-and-Death process (QBD) . This paper presents algorithms for eval­ uating the equilibrium distribution for a LDQBD. We consider a general approach to the problem and also consider a number of special cases . The results presented are a sum­ mary of those presented by the authors in [2] . We refer the reader to [2] for more details .
