ABSTRACT

II. PREPARATION OF NEW COMPOSITE [2] Dispersion plating involves codeposition of polymer or ceramic particles dis persed in aqueous solution with metal. The fluorine compound used to prepare

The reaction is made by flowing a mixture of fluorine (20 ml min-1) and ni trogen (30 ml min-1) over PTFE at a temperature of 400 to 500°C for 2 h. The TFEO obtained is further converted to fine particles with an average particle size of 5 |xm by jet milling. The TFEO particles are then dispersed into a conventional nickel plating bath [4].
