ABSTRACT
Today, computer codes are enabling the behaviour of engineering structures to be predicted by numerical simulation. Such simulation results from the approximate application of basic mechanics to the elementary behaviour of the various materials present (see previous chapters) in the framework of the solution of boundary-value problems.
