ABSTRACT
This paper briefly describes a simple program for the nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete members under cyclic loading based on the section analysis method. Realistic constitutive models are used for steel and concrete, taking into account the effect of cyclic loading. The program is used to investigate the energy dissipation ofRC walls and comparisons are made with the results of an experimental programme conducted by the authors.
