ABSTRACT
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY As they age, many older adults experience shrinking social networks and limited opportunities for fostering new social relationships. We postulate that games can be used to enhance social opportunities for seniors via social media. To test this hypothesis, we designed TableTalk Poker, an augmented poker game designed to encourage greater peer interaction via support for conversation and collaboration between a playing and a nonplaying partner.
