ABSTRACT
As for the majority of chapters in this book, what follows is based on the pro ceedings of a workshop undertaken at the 2002 UKCEA conference. The differ ence here though is that we shall be examining both content and process, as this chapter takes us in two directions at the same time being both an explora tion of the new GP retainer scheme and an exposition of the organisational tool of appreciative inquiry.
