ABSTRACT
Social networking sites are increasingly considered to be key elements in enhancing relationships between governments and citizens, and with this in mind, Mediterranean governments, among others, have implemented initiatives to encourage citizens to seek the full benefits that these technologies offer and to enhance citizens’ engagement in democratic processes.
