ABSTRACT
A proof-of-concept trial was conducted jointly by GS1 New Zealand and ANZCO Foods, which demonstrated that the EPCglobal Network could be used effectively as a traceability system for the movement of cattle from a farm, through the beef production process, to a retail outlet (Hartley and Sundermann, 2010).
