ABSTRACT
In all regions, with increasing land and water scarcity and the added pressures of a globalizing world, the future of agriculture is intrinsically tied to better stewardship of natural resources. The solution is not to slow agricultural development but to seek more sustainable production systems (World Bank 2008).
