ABSTRACT
Nowadays the chance of surviving a cancer disease is signifi cantly increased as compared to the earlier times and the group of cancer survivors is constantly growing. This remarkable achievement is mainly due to the development of more aggressive treatment regimes, which unfortunately do carry the risk of unwanted side effects such as infertility, which can jeopardize the chance to have one’s own biological children. For many girls and women, fertility preservation is of high priority and will improve their quality of life as cancer survivors.
