ABSTRACT
Although s 35(2) of the 2000 Act prevents the court imposing a probation order and a community service order for the same offence, the same effect can be achieved by means of a combination order.
Section 51(1) of the 2000 Act states that, where the court is dealing with an offender who has attained the age of 16 who has been convicted of an imprisonable offence, the court may make a combination order.
