ABSTRACT
The capital limit is £3,000 and the weekly income limit is £51. The weekly dependants’ allowances are the same as for the green form scheme. Those on income support, income-based jobseeker’s allowance, family credit or disability working allowance receive free legal aid. For those with disposable capital in excess of £3,000, contributions from capital are payable, and for those with a weekly disposable income in excess of £51, a weekly contribution from income of £1 for every £3 or part in excess is payable. Those aged 16 or over apply on their own behalf, whereas parents or guardians apply for those under 16.
