ABSTRACT
The Bearded Head are a rock band formed by four squatters in Hackney, producing what they call the final degeneration of rock ‘n’ roll. The act consists of attempting to play tunes and lyrics of their own joint composition with each of the members donning what they call ‘combat beards’ – large false beards which they wear throughout the performance. Their music and songs are composed in group sessions, with each member contributing ideas.
