ABSTRACT

A company is a separate legal entity and can sue or be sued as such. In the case of a company registered in England and Wales, the full name of the company should be given including the words ‘Limited’ or ‘plc’. In the case of a corporation other than a company, the full name of the corporation should be given. In the case of an overseas company as defined by s 744 of the Companies Act 1985, the full name of the company should be given.
