ABSTRACT
The process of case selection varies in detail from service to service, so this chapter will look at the general procedures and principles governing the process. As the parties can withdraw from mediation at any time, and the second party may not wish to participate from the outset, we will look mainly at the service’s considerations in deciding how to proceed.
