ABSTRACT
At the first sign of any deterioration, the nursing staff will immediately alert the doctor in charge of the case who will review the patient urgently and, if he confirms the deterioration, do two things. Firstly, he will arrange for the patient to have an immediate CT scan; and secondly, he will contact his nearest neurosurgical centre.
