An arbitration agreement gives rise to an arbitrator or arbitrators, who are referred to as the ‘tribunal’.
Assuming that there is no challenge to the arbitrator’s jurisdiction or that he has ruled that he has the jurisdiction, he may proceed with the preliminary meeting.
