ABSTRACT
This chapter is intended to provide a basic introduction to telecommunications law and regulation in Ireland. Telecommunications is an extremely wide and diverse subject which has developed considerably due to technical innovation. Following on from technological innovation, the legal and regulatory elements of the telecommunications sector have also undergone considerable changes over recent years.
