ABSTRACT
The purpose of the controller is to hold the temperature of a given room at a nearly constant, preset temperature. This is achieved by controlling the heating supply temperature (control variable). Either the room temperature or the outdoor temperature is used for the reference variable. The simplest form of control is achieved with a simple indoor thermostat.
