Learning from Success: Revisiting Experiences of LEIT Adoption by Hillside Farmers in Central Honduras

Various stories of the successful adoption of low external-input technology (LEIT) by small farmers are reported in the literature on sustainable agriculture. But these success stories are often anecdotal, focusing on individual ‘star farmer’ case studies. Here we attempt a more systematic analysis of one of these stories – the promotion of hillside technologies for small farmers in central Honduras by World Neighbors and associated non-governmental organizations (NGOs) during the 1980s and 1990s.
