High-dependency care

High-dependency care is indicated in the following circumstances:

when there is haemodynamic instability (due to hypovolaemia, haemorrhage or sepsis)

when a continuous ECG is required

for invasive pressure monitoring (central venous pressure or arterial line)

when there is acute impairment of respiratory, renal or metabolic function
