I.N. Todorov Mitochondria: oxidative stress, mitochondrial DNA mutation, pathologies, aging and apoptosis

In recent 15-20 years, an immense number of works [1] was devoted to the investigations of the oxidative stress and its effect on different organizational levels of the entire organism. However, now we would like to focus attention on the foreground of the events defining development of the oxidative stress in cell, i.e. on cellular organelles, where main reactions of energy metabolism proceed, which are mitochondria.
