Compounds of the antioxidant type compose a new pharmacological group of medical preparations possessing an original spectrum of biological action. High treatment effectiveness of these compounds in medical practice is determined. The theoretical premise for development of this direction was detection of the important role of free radicals of oxygen, the so-called reactive oxygen species (ROS) in biological systems [1].
