ABSTRACT
Microbes or micro-organisms such as bacteria, fungi, algae and protozoa are too small to be seen by the naked eye. They are found universally everywhere in air, water, soil, ice, rocks, also as pathogens or as symbionts. Though not all are harmful, some specific varieties are pathogenic and can cause cross infection, allergic reactions, respiratory disorders, fouling, stains and degradation.
