ABSTRACT

It has been reported [2] that for achiral development, SFC has been heavily relied upon for the analysis and purification of a diverse set of compounds from the medicinal chemistry library. Supporting high-speed SFC quality control of the purified compounds is made

possible at high-flow-rate SFC. The flexibility of SFC systems has been extended for use with more non-polar compounds and enhancements in signal-to-noise. Further SFC applications include difficult-to-separate hydrophobic peptides. Moreover, for preparative scale purifications, SFC is the clear winner in terms of simplicity of process, increased productivity, significant cost reduction, and green environmental impacts [3]. The implementation of such strategy has shown improvement in productivity and success rate in handling high-throughput screening and purifications [4].
