ABSTRACT

Endoscopy has become a valuable tool to diagnose and help to treat

pathologies in a minimally invasive way. Optical imaging techniques

such as confocal microscopy or conventional OCT have already

proven their utility for external examination and are therefore being

implemented for endoscopy in vivo. They are beginning to be used in

clinical domains such as cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology,

and dermatology.
