Professor Jill Kruse had a slight hangover. Her retirement celebration

with colleagues in the engineering department the day before had

been a bit too festive. “I would have been better off sticking with

red wine,” she grumbled, rubbing her head. “Too much champagne

doesn’t mix well with a 75-year old.” She glanced around the office
