ABSTRACT
Formally launched in January 2005, Imagine Canada is an alliance between two of Canada’s leading non-profit and voluntary sector organizations: the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy (CCP) and the Coalition of National Voluntary Organizations (NVO). Imagine Canada focuses on three main issues: helping charities and non-profit organizations with their respective missions; promoting corporate citizenship as well as businesses and community partnerships; and increasing public awareness of the impact and work of Canada’s non-profit and voluntary sector as well as the importance of community-minded businesses to the sector, communities, and Canada’s future. Imagine Canada not only provides service to its 1,200 members but also serves to bring nonprofit, business, and government organizations together around common issues.
