ABSTRACT
Occupational Safety and Health Act — A 1970 law establishing the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH); the Congressional purpose of the Act was to ensure as far as possible that every working person in the nation has safe and healthful working conditions, thereby preserving our human resources.
