ABSTRACT
The simplified theoretical model for elution of a solute from an initially dry hydrophilic polymer matrix with simultaneous inhibition of water [see Eqs. (3) and (4)] may be applied for less hydrophilic polymers (22,23). However, the applicability of the model of Korsmeyer, Peppas, and their colleagues (22,23) is severely limited by certain simplification.
