ABSTRACT

Fraaye and Jäger (1995b) described four examples of Early Jurassic shes from England and Germany preserved within ammonite conchs. These may be examples of feeding on debris from a dead ammonite or its scavengers, seeking shelter, or other possibilities. Fraaye and Jäger (1995a) reported on examples of decapods from Germany and England that are preserved in the same manner and may represent inquilinism.
