ABSTRACT

Research in the field of clothing for older people is a growing need due to the widespread aging of the general population, and due to problems and limitations related to natural physiological aging. Attentive and focused observation of this specific user group should consider a multidimensional assessment and a multifunctional and interdisciplinary diagnosis, aiming at controlling and directing possible solutions to mitigate clinical, psychosocial, and functional problems. Clothing specifically tailored for sports for seniors is beneficial to the wearer and has important levels of comfort, assisting the wearer in aging in a more active way, and in an environment that can be defined and controlled. This article aims to present data collected by a specific questionnaire that was answered by approximately 110 people over 60 years old, active consumers of sports equipment. It aimed to understand the particularities of their needs and physical activities, with a special focus on comfort and preferences.
