ABSTRACT
We are referring to music that can be only computer generated. AM is able to adapt its behavior according to audience interaction and environment changes while still maintaining stylistic coherence. In other words, the style of the music will be maintained despite of adaptation: Style is an invariant of the music opera. AM aims at radically changing the traditional perception of a piece of music as a frozen work of art that eternally re-proposes its original conception. Therefore, AM promotes a perception of music as a continuous present, around an ever-ongoing dialog with the audience and with the environment. The audience and the environment play an active role in the composition process since the work of art is aware of them and adapts to their interactions and behavior.
