ABSTRACT

In this chapter we will explore the possibility of getting some of the advantages of a factorial experiment without undertaking the whole of the experiment.

13.2 T H E D E S I G N M A T R I X In the previous chapter we analysed the results from several factorial experiments and for each experiment we used two methods of analysis. The first was based on two-way tables and the second made use of a multiple regression package. Both methods have their advantages but there are other methods which are found to be even more useful when dealing with parts of factorial experiments as we shall see later in this chapter.
