ABSTRACT

The Pacific Armies’ Chiefs Conference and Management Seminar in Auckland, New Zealand, in September 2013 was a unique opportunity for the United Nations Office of Military Affairs and the Department of Peacekeeping Operations to address and discuss peacekeeping issues with such a distinguished senior military and civilian ordinance. The Office of Military Affairs and the Department of Peacekeeping Operations acknowledges the immense undertaking and contributions that Troop Contributing Countries (TCCs) have pledged to United Nations peacekeeping in the past and the ongoing support in the future. Without the contributions of the TCCs, the UN would not have been able to meet the demands for peacekeepers over so many years and in so many contexts and conflicts.
