From an African American Perspective-Living with Disabilities After Age 50: Learning Anew and Moving Forward

Sixty-two year-old Clara B. is not sure that there was anyone thing that led her to put her anger aside after two years of passive resistance, and venture into her kitchen that day. But she's kept moving forward ever since. Ms. B. (Interview, 1994) today, is a vibrant woman, who gets around with a walker. With a ready smile and quick wit, she has once again taken charge of her own life.
