ABSTRACT
The University of Southwest at Lake Bonito (USLB) is the second largest of the nine universities in the University of Southwest system. The USLB has been around for fewer than 40 years, and it continues to grow both in terms of student population and campus size. The Assistant Director of Orientation, a Summer Hall Director / Family Orientation Coordinator, and 30 to 45 student staff stay in on-campus housing during orientation so that they are easily accessible to the orientation students and their families. The new Assistant Director of Orientation, Sonia Delgado, received a call from the Summer Hall Director and the Family Orientation Coordinator, the Dawn McNeil. Dawn notified Sonia of an alcohol incident involving orientation student staff. Sonia was stunned. Maybe this situation could have been prevented. However, this was not all that Sonia had to think about.
