The great advantage of using a package like SPSS is that it will enable you to score and to analyse quantitative data very quickly and in many different ways once you have learned how. In other words, it will help you to eliminate those long hours spent working out scores, carrying out involved calculations, and making those inevitable mistakes that so frequently occur while doing this. It will also provide you with the opportunity for using more complicated and often more appropriate statistical techniques which you would not have dreamt of attempting otherwise.
