ABSTRACT

Based on geographic information system, the methods of land-use dynamic change model, landscape pattern analytic, and the principle component analytic were used to study the features and driving force of land-use and landscape pattern change in Shandan County. The results showed that: (1) during 2000-2010, the meadowland area increased largely and the cropland area decreased largely. There were 80.7% of the forest area, 65.7% of the meadowland area, 60% of the cropland area, 95.4% of the lake area, and 60.1% of the river were degenerated. (2) The changes of landscape pattern indices showed that landscapes were seriously suffered from the disturbance of human activities. (3) The first principal component of the driving force factors had a large positive correlation with climate and social economy, and the second principal component had a remarkable correlation with population.
