ABSTRACT

In chapter 10, we will examine the contribution of the Teaching Games for Understanding, explore the various contributions of the German and French of schools of thought to tactical approaches in games teaching, and present a new model for the teaching and learning of team sports. This new model will emphasize learning on the students' part, with their representations of the game, and teaching on the teacher's part, with the implementation of settings and strategies using observation, enhancing critical thinking, and thus allowing students to transform previous answers. The regulation of learning through formative assessment will also be discussed.
