ABSTRACT
At the end of the last chapter we noted that art, as part of beauty (along with intellectual discipline and love), can provide a starting-point for, and inspiration to, the moral life. However, the role Murdoch allots to art is far broader, and in this chapter we will consider the function of art and the aesthetic in Murdoch’s moral vision.
