ABSTRACT
Direct Memory Access Parsing views conceptual language analysis as a problem of recognizing the structures in memory to which a text is referring, not as a problem of building a meaning structure for the text. That is, conceptual analysis is a memory search process very similar to other recently developed dynamic memory inference processes. Linguistic information in a DMAP parser is linked directly to concept nodes in memory, rather than to a separate parser lexicon.
