ABSTRACT

Astrocytes are essential to mental health. Astrocytes are critical to our default mode, attention, memory, and language networks, as they are responsible for neuronal blood flow, synapse formation, and many of our basic mental and behavioral habits. They communicate with periodicities slower than most breathing rhythms but organize faster rhythms. With neurotherapy we can shape astrocytic networks non-invasively to healthy patterns of well-being and mental health.
