ABSTRACT
Reference data on present climates are given here in three forms:
World maps of the distribution of various items of climatic importance for their effects upon man. The selection here is of items not often found in atlases and not given elsewhere in the text of this work.
A world-wide classification of climates in terms of things critical for plants and the associated animal life, growth of crops, etc. The classification here presented is the one which is in widest use, due to Köppen.
A climatic table of data on characteristic temperature and rainfall values for each month of the year, and averaged for the year as a whole, for a network of places all over the world.
